Hello!
I thought that I would create a post to outline the different types of organised raiding groups in the guild. PUGging raids is a thankless and stressful task (we know, we've been there) and part of being in a guild is to get the opportunity to avoid having to go through this ordeal. For this reason, FYI run regular, organised raiding groups that are open to members at different levels. Of course, anyone is welcome to start up a raiding party, but so that we can give everyone the best chance of success, we will be running two formal groups: Training and Raiding.
Training Raids
These are open to all members of the guild and will run at least once a week. Please check out the calendar to see when the next run is planned. Raid content is the toughest in the game and is full of complex mechanics as well as high damage bosses, for this reason it is important that you know the class that you want to raid with before coming along. In addition to this, the requirements for joining are as follows:
It's really important to remember that these raiding groups will be light hearted with a focus on fun. There is no requirement for you to have any experience raiding, just to want to try hard to progress with the rest of the team. These are laid back groups and we will always take time to explain mechanics for new members; there is always time to ask questions about anything.
Generally, places will be offered on a first-come-first served basis and groups are limited 10 (or multiples thereof). We will always go into a raid with a group that has, as far as is possible, the right mix of professions. So we may have to jostle people around if we have too many of one particular class. You can check out the other threads to see what professions are in short supply/abundant.
Meta Raids
These are open only to players who have proven their ability in other raiding groups. The focus on these groups is around getting fast wins and learning the mechanics so that we can teach others. The requirements for these raids are as follows:
I hope that gives a clear overview of where we are at the moment. Please post any queries you have below.

In addition to this, the requirements for joining are as follows:
- Have a level 80 character (preferably levelled to full elite spec.)
- Be fully geared with exotic armour and weapons (we do not require ascended armour for training runs.
- Be running one of the recognised builds which can be found either here or here
including the right food and runes/sigils - Have access to Discord - you don't have to speak, just listen to instructions etc.

- Have at least 2 characters that are fully 'raid ready' and tested.
- Members have achieved at least 10 kills of bosses with FYI
- Members can commit to specific times in advance and keep to them (i.e. be there on time)
